PROFESSIONAL SPORTS IN LAS VEGAS
We think Las Vegas is the Entertainment Capital of the World and
The Sports Capital of the World!
When it comes to hosting sporting events, Las Vegas has no equal. Las Vegas continues to expand its sports footprint, adding major sporting events and professional franchises to its portfolio.
Known historically as the world’s boxing capital, Las Vegas is now the world’s UFC capital, home to the Vegas Golden Knights, National Finals Rodeo, the NBA Summer League, four NCAA conference basketball tournaments, a PGA tour stop, two NASCAR triple-header weekends, a minor league baseball team, the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces, the Las Vegas Lights FC in the United Soccer League and of course, the Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL!
As a resident of Las Vegas, there is a major sporting event scheduled for every single weekend – at lease that is the way it seems. Oh, by the way, if you don’t want to go to the live sporting events you can also catch just about every sporting event taking place anywhere in the world at one of the many sports books located at our casinos.
Las Vegas is a sports fan’s dream!

When Frank Fertitta, Dana White, and Lorenzo Fertitta purchased the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2001, the trio embarked on a journey to make mixed martial arts the world’s most popular sport.
Dedicated to exposing the masses to UFC’s heart-pounding action, incredible athletes and the best live event experience in all of sports, the three men resurrected mixed martial arts and gave it the opportunity for international success.
Since purchasing the UFC a decade ago, the Fertitta brothers and White have made it the fastest-growing sports organization in the world. Today, the UFC is progressing at a rate never-before-seen in the professional sports world. Here in Las Vegas, we are super proud to be the home of UFC and as locals, we have multiple chances each year to attend UFC events.
