Since its first classes were held on campus in 1957, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) has transformed from a small branch college into a thriving research university, becoming an indispensable resource in one of the country’s most enterprising cities. As a comprehensive research university, UNLV offers more than 220 undergraduate, masters, and doctoral degree programs. These include internationally and nationally recognized programs in hotel administration, engineering, business, creative writing, conflict resolution, legal writing, and nursing. UNLV has professional degrees in law, architecture, and dental medicine, as well as outstanding programs in the fine and liberal arts, sciences, and education.
