Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center is a 701-bed for-profit hospital owned by the Hospital Corporation of America.  The hospital is located in the center of our valley at 3186 S. Maryland Parkway, near the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The hospital opened for patients in 1958, and is still considered one of the best hospitals in our valley today.

Sunrise Hospital also includes Sunrise Children’s Hospital which provides advanced pediatric, neonatal medicine and 24/7 emergency pediatric services.

University Medical Center (UMC) is a 564-bed non-profit government hospital owned and operated by the Clark County Commission. The hospital is located just west of Interstate 15 in the west-central part of our valley at 1800 W Charleston Blvd.

UMC is where we go when the medical issue is extreme.  The UMC Trauma Center and Lions Burn Care Center deliver exceptional medical care.

Valley Hospital Medical Center is a 409-bed for-profit hospital owned by Universal Health Services. It is one of six hospitals within the Valley Health System in Las Vegas, Nevada.  It is accredited by the Joint Commission and includes a certified Primary Stroke Center, an accredited Chest Pain Center, and a certified Heart Failure Center.

The hospital was founded in 1972 and was the first in our valley to offer Flight for Life services. The hospital is located just west of Interstate 15 in the west-central part of our valley at 620 Shadow Lane.

Mountain View Medical Center is a 408-bed for-profit hospital owned by the Hospital Corporation of America.  The hospital is located just off Interstate 95 at Cheyenne Road.  Founded in 1996, it is one of our newer and more popular hospitals given its location in the fast-growing Northwest area of our valley.

Mountain View features a top cardiovascular and thoracic center, the renowned Las Vegas Institute for Robotic Surgery, an Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Certified Stroke Center.

Summerlin Hospital Medical Center is a 485-bed private, for-profit hospital owned by Universal Health Services and operated by the Valley Health System. Founded in 1997, the hospital is located in Summerlin, an affluent master-planned community on the western edge of the Las Vegas Valley at 657 N Town Center Drive.

Summerlin Hospital specialty services include The Heart Center, The Robotic Surgery Center, The Cancer Center, and The Rehab Center.

Dignity Health – St. Rose Dominican operates three hospitals in the Las Vegas Valley. Dignity Health is our only not-for-profit, faith-based hospital system.

The Rose de Lima Campus opened in 1947 in Henderson.
The Siena Campus opened in 2000 in the Green Valley area of Henderson.
The San Martin Campus opened in 2006 in southwestern Las Vegas.

Dignity Health is the fifth largest health system in the nation. “Hello humankindness” is their now famous slogan.

Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center is a 293-bed acute care for-profit facility operated by the Vally Health System.  The hospital is located in the eastern part of the Las Vegas Valley at 2075 E Flamingo.

The hospital has long been referred to as “The Heart Hospital” by residents, due to its solid reputation as a leader in cardiac care. The hospital offers 24-hour emergency services and is nationally recognized for its diabetes, weight loss (bariatric) surgery, cardiac, and stroke programs.

Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center is a 226-bed for-profit hospital owned by Universal Health Services and operated by Valley Health System. The hospital is located near Lone Mountain in the northwest area of the Las Vegas valley at 6900 N Durango Drive.

Centennial Hills Hospital specializes in comprehensive women’s services, maternity services, surgical services, outpatient cardiology, endoscopy, and in outpatient rehabilitation.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs opened the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System in August of 2012. The VA Hospital provides 90 beds, a 120-bed nursing home, and an outpatient care center that serves the more than 240,000 Veterans living in our catchment area. The hospital is located at 6900 North Pecos Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89086.
